The Raytheon Hawker 800XP extended performance mid-size business jet announced in 1995 and built by Hawker Beechcraft Inc since 2007 is available both as a business / VIP jet or special mission versions due to its up-rated engine, enhanced aerodynamics, increased weight and system upgrades .

It is derived from the UK-built de Havilland / Hawker Siddely and British Aerospace 125, first built in 1962, which evolved into the Series 400 to 800 produced through the early 1990s when Raytheon purchased the Series 800 program in 1993 and renamed it the Hawker 800. Over 275 Hawker 800 were built until 1995 when the newer 800XP entered service.

The largest fleet of Hawkers is owned by NetJets, the fractional aircraft company having 100 Hawker XP, including 27 800XP in its fleet. A number of Hawker 800XP are also in Raytheon's fractional aircraft fleet, along with Beechjet 400A and KingAir B200 aircraft.

Raytheon introduced the Hawker 850XP in 2005 as a successor to the Hawker 800XPi. It has composite, outwardly canted winglets, an range increased by 4% (an additional 185km) and 8% improvement in time to climb. The 850XP has the same Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics Airshow 21 cabin management system of the 800XPi and received certification in 2006 as the current production model, superseding the 800XP.

Evolution makes Hawker aircraft so successful by continual improvements in performance and accommodations. The newer models retain the 850’s advanced traits (fuel efficiency, aerodynamics, comfort, performance capabilities), with even better qualifications.

The long-range business jet features an enhanced variation of the 850XP’s winglets, increasing hot/high-altitude and cruise performance and range. On the runway in hot/high conditions, the new 900XP requires 1,800 feet less runway for a 2,000 nautical mile trip with six passengers to complete coast-to-coast trips, like Teterboro to Seattle.

The 900XP features Honeywell TFE731-50R engines designed specifically for the aircraft. Each is rated at 4,660 lbs. of thrust offering increased climb performance and immediate maximum altitude (41,000 feet) from these newer engines.

Like the 850XP, the 900XP features the Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite with 4 8x10 inch adaptive display navigation screens, terrain awareness warning systems (TAWS), weather, reduced vertical separation minimum (RVSM) and enhanced ground proximity warning systems (EGPWS). The system has an intuitive setup to decrease workload while increasing safety and awareness in the cockpit.

Based on the roomy cabin design of the 850XP’s, Raytheon chose keep it for the 900XP, with its 604 cubic ft. cabin, the aircraft surpasses all others in its class. It offers stand-up headroom, LCD lighting, touch-screen seat controls, fully-berthable seats and plenty of in-cabin storage, accommodating 8 passengers.

The 900XP business jet offers unbeatable fuel efficiency, performance, intuitiveness and comfort.
