An update to the Citation II and S/II, the renamed Cessna Citation Bravo (Model 550) features an extremely quiet cabin compared to other small private jets, with improved insulation, a secondary cabin door seal, and an isolated interior shell to eliminate low-frequency engine noise. The Citation Bravo also features Pratt & Whitney PW530A engines, trailing-link main landing gear, digital cabin pressurization controller, redesigned air steps with wider tread, and new Honeywell Primus 1000 cockpit avionics with advanced electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) displays. The aircraft is optimized for operation from small airports, and while the Citation Bravo offers less fuel capacity than the Citation II and a heavier maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) the jet burns fewer pounds of fuel per hour, a significant enhancement to overall efficiency.
